THE PAPER STORE’S ANNUAL TRADITION OF GENEROSITY: “GIFT OF GIVING” ORNAMENT PROMOTION WILL HELP THE SALVATION ARMY MEET NEEDS

During the season of giving, customers at The Paper Store can purchase a one-of-a-kind ornament, help their neighbors in need and receive a discount off their purchases.

CANTON, MA (November , 2014) – Today, The Paper Store, the largest family owned and operated chain of Specialty Gift GOG Ornament 2014 close upStores in the Northeast, announced that their Gift of Giving promotion will return for a fifth year. The weekend after Thanksgiving marks the unofficial start of the Christmas shopping season, and customers of The Paper Store will be able to purchase the exclusive “Gift of Giving” ornament for 2014. For each ornament sold, The Paper Store will donate $1.00 to The Salvation Army.

The Paper Store, known for providing shoppers with expressions of sentiment for all of life’s occasions, has supported The Salvation Army through this initiative since 2010. In that time, The Paper Store and its customers have contributed over $40,000 to help people in need.

This year’s ornament depicts a series of gifts within a gift. Customers who purchase the ornament for $3.99 will receive 20% off their entire purchase during the weekend of November 28-30.

Paper Store Founder Bob Anderson explained why the chain has invested in community partnerships “Our company is built upon the communities in which we reside. It’s so important for us to connect with the people that make our company who we are. Fostering these relationships is one of the most important ways we can give back to these communities..” Anderson continued, “Like it says on the back of the ornament package, we hope our customers continue to ‘Give at Christmas and help all year.’”

“The Salvation Army benefits greatly from the partnership between local retailers and their customers to fill the iconic Red Kettles,” said Major David B. Davis, Salvation Army Massachusetts Divisional Commander. “We are so grateful for The Paper Store and all that they do for the community. Retail partnerships like this are another great way that customers can help to provide vital social services, education and emergency services programs for hundreds of thousands of children, families and seniors throughout the Commonwealth all year long. “

Major Davis summarized the Gift of Giving campaign this way, “We are so happy that shoppers at The Paper Store will be able to check names off their list of loved ones and help strangers they may never meet at Christmas time and all year round.”
