150FF_MobileMealsWe’re about meeting people at their needs – providing meals for children in the summer, low-cost summer camp and job training programs.

FACT: Food insecurity increases for children in the summer – Worcester’s Mobile Meals program is there to help. The program just finished for this summer providing over 41,000 lunches to hungry children.

150FF_Camp2FACT: Camp Wonderland provides a low cost opportunity for children who would otherwise not be able to attend summer camp.

Pictured is Lindsey a few summers back when she was a counselor in the Older Girls Unit. She started out as a camper, joined the staff and camp helped her to choose Gordon College, where she recently graduated with a social work degree.

FACT: In July, 15,000 Salvationists and friends gathered together from around the globe. The Boundless Congress took place near the birthplace of The Salvation Army in London, England.150FF_Boundless

The week-long event commemorated the rich heritage of the last 150 years, celebrate
d the present and helped Salvationists envision and shape the future.

150FF_ChefTimothyFACE: Chef Timothy Tucker created the Culinary Arts Training Program at The Salvation Army Center of Hope in Louisville, KY in 2005. He has brought that successful formula to Boston to offer free job skills training in the culinary arts to non-traditional students.

150FF_ARHelpedFACT: 462,903 Individuals, families and seniors were directly assisted by The Salvation Army in Massachusetts in 2014.
